Joule Thief — The Secret Technology of the Ancient Pre-Ssorbonites

The Joule Thief energy scrounger. This little puppy will suck residual energy from depleted batteries and other low grade sources like eSnort – addled Orboite brainiums. Here it's running off a dead AA battery, and has been for 4 days. More or less.
Why, I'll bet even a double-nought dimwit could wangle wee willy's watts enough to light up this bulb.

A Joule thief is an ordinary electronic oscillating circuit, using magnetic
field changes in a coil to slightly step up the voltage of the original
power source. If a battery is considered “”dead”, it no longer delivers 1,5
Volts, but 1 to 1.3 Volts, which it not enough for most appliances to work.
But there is still some energy left in the battery and the contraption
shown cranks up the 1 or so residual Volt to approx. 2, enough to light up
the LED. But since electonic oscillators use energy for themselves to work,
the Joule thief draws more milliamps from the battery than it cranks out to
the LED. To run for 4 days, the battery may not have been as dead as the
poster of the video suggests. As for extracting etheral energy from space
and similar suggestions, that’s all rubbish. And as for Ssorbonites, these
are just employes of the Dutch Sorbo factory. They make washing-up brushes
for dishes and wooden pegs for drying clothes on lines in the garden. I
doubt if pre-Ssorbonites had 2N3904 transistors and ferrite coils and
alkaline batteries at their disposal. Dead or alive.

No, it's magic. The transistor has to be pre-treated by rubbing it with
snake oil while walking widdershins around a clothesline at midnight. And
if you don't chant the right incantations while doing it, the
SSOrbonites will disturb your sleep with terrifying dreams of perpetual
cellphone chargers that look like monkeyfaces. Go ahead and prove me
      wrong… if you can !

this sounds like edomites to me ! this science stuff makes my head hurt !
we do sience stuff in the bunker, at night with no lights on. tuesdays

Thank you for watching my videos. Perhaps you’d also like to watch this
one, which has some original footage of Ed Leedskalnin himself actually
      building Coral Castle.
Chris Sykes claims to have “overunity” or “Free energy” coming from his
coils, but he doesn’t. He has been demonstrated to have poor knowledge of
his own test equipment and poor measurement skills in the long-running
thread on o u dot com. He has never been able to demonstrate the validity
of his claims, and nobody else has been able to do so either. He does
things like measuring voltage and current in different branches of a
circuit, multiplying them together and claiming this gives a valid power
result, when of course it does not. It’s easy to test Sykes’s circuits
properly, and when they are tested it is clear that they aren’t even
particularly efficient, much less “overunity”. And the bucking coil
arrangement he uses is well known and appears in all kinds of electronic
devices such as CRT monitors etc. The only thing “new” is his gobbledegook
explanations of what he thinks is happening with them.

Attention is the most precious entity of the universe. Thank you for
responding and add even more information …I used small radios drivers
portable transformers to do with this circuit many things … high voltage
generators to give shock:) … Audible alarms … When he needed an
oscillator, audio, was this … There many variations but the basic is that
they are a transistor and a tRANSFORMER … this cirucuito that have
indicated, the LEDs light up with a voltage of the pulses generated in the
transformer … It’s a really special circuit and deserves the attention
being given to him. . Thank you very much !!!

Ok. Because the old batery haven’t enought voltage to turn on a Led… This
oscilator works since very low voltage Because inductor can be a GREAT
realimentacion… This inductor works like SELF transformer increasing
voltage for Led too … Led turn on… Haven’t a power Gain … Only a
voltage elevator, enought to turn on the Led… Thanks a lot for

This is true because the ancient people were able to run down to radio
shack to pick up a few batteries and some LEDs. When doing some
excavations, we dug up a radio shack that was still fully stocked. They
even had cell phones back then!

what you have is not a motor it is a mill like a wind mill or water mill.
It simply lets the elecrostatic energy in the air flow directly to ground.
what it needs now is an advance mechanism to allow R.P.M to keep up with
the load. ……The tesla coil also works in reverse it could serve as a
    conduit for the mill

The SSOrbo was the alleged “free energy” overunity electronic version of a
magnet motor OU device of the Irish “technology platform” company called
Steorn. The original Orbo was a magic magnet motor from them, which they
falsely claimed was “overunity” and which they used to burn through 14 or
20 million dollars or Euro (depending on who you believe) of investment in
a couple of years. Now they are trying to foist a thing called “hepa heat”
onto the public. It is supposed to be some kind of overunity home hot water
heater. Pre-SSorbonites, then, are the folks who, like some strange
religious cult, swallowed Steorn’s early claims but had to draw the line
when the company kept on moving goalposts and fired their scientific jury
after two and a half years and a negative verdict (no evidence for OU was
      ever provided to the jury).

lol, yeah because 1 transistor and ferrite core and a little wire u dont
have to replace is way more harmful than dumping usable batteries in a
landfill. SMH. It would be more economical if energy scrounger circuits
were mandatory in all consumer electronics.

  6. Norberto Rozzi

    Es un simple oscilador.
Pero de quitar el LED, el transistor vuela !
No es necesario un anillo de ferrite.
Hasta puede utilizarse como núcleo un simple tornillo.

if the battery has less than 1 V and continues to keep going without ever
going completely dead their is something going on here. when most batteries
go dead rather quickly these days, or at least run down enough they wont
power anything. they sure dont last like they used to.

  7. Tom Killwhang

Secret technology my arse! There is no extra energy. All this does is boost
the voltage (and hence reduce the current by an equal amount). It is a
dc-dc convertor. The reason it works is that with a boosted voltage the LED
lights. The LED needs a forward voltage before it turns on and the original
battery does not have that voltage – so we boost it up. Similar ideas are
used all the time in electronics to get from say 1.5V to 3V or 5V on small

Congratulations! You have successfully created the LED garden light or LED
flashlight. Wait that’s already been done some 25 plus years ago…
I built one of these circuits back in 1996 as a science project also..
    Nothing new here guys.
